Alevropiti - Easy Greek Feta Pie

Try Alevropiti โ€“ a light, fluffy, and incredibly easy-to-make Greek feta pie! This spongey delight is the perfect snack or appetiser that will quickly become your new favourite ๐Ÿ˜

 

Ingredients

  • 150g plain flour

  • 200ml milk

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 2 tbsp water

  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil

  • 150g crumbled feta

55 mins to prepare and bake | Makes 9 squares


Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius fan. In a bowl, add the flour, milk and eggs and whisk until a batter forms.

  2. Add the salt and water and continue whisking until combined.

  3. Grease a square baking dish with half of the olive oil and place in the oven to warm up for 5 minutes.

  4. Remove from the oven and pour the batter carefully. Then top with the crumbled feta. Swirl this in with a spoon and top with another drizzle of olive oil.

  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and crispy on top, and cut into squares.
