Crispy Gochujang Spam

I’ve unlocked the most DELICIOUS way to cook spam — by grating it and airfrying to crispy, golden perfection 😮‍💨✨ Coated in a foolproof gochujang glaze that’s sticky, spicy, and seriously addictive, this might just be your new favourite way to eat spam ❤️

 

Ingredients

  • 1 can of spam (340g)

  • 1 1/2 tbsp gochujang paste

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp caster sugar

  • 1 knob of ginger, grated

  • 1 garlic clove, grated

  • 1 tbsp water

15-20 mins to prepare and cook | Serves 3-4 portions


Method

  1. Grate the spam and place it in the airfryer for 9 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius, mixing half way through.

  2. In a saucepan, add all the ingredients for the sauce. Place over a medium heat and continue stirring until the texture thickens and the sauce begins to bubble. Remove off the heat.

  3. Coat the crispy spam in the sauce. Serve on a bed of rice. Optionally, serve with sliced cucumber and garnish with sesame seeds.
