Ingredients
65g cheddar cheese, grated
65g Gruyere cheese, grated
130g feta, crumbled
1 egg
30g self-raising flour
Dash of milk
Crushed black pepper
30g plain flour
Veg oil for frying
20 minutes to cook | Serves 3-4
Method
In a bowl, add the grated cheeses and crumbled feta, along with the self-raising flour, egg, milk and black pepper. Mix until it’s well combined.
Take about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll into a ball, and repeat with the rest of the mixture.
In a separate bowl, place the plain flour. Coat each ball in the flour and set aside.
In a frying pan, heat up the vegetable oil. You’ll know if the oil is hot enough by dipping a wooden spoon and seeing bubbles around it. Fry the balls for 2-3 minutes on both sides until golden.
Place on a plate with kitchen roll to drain the excess oil and enjoy whilst hot.
