Cheesy Masala Beans on Toast

This isn’t your average beans on toast. We’re talking rich, cheesy, masala-spiced baked beans layered on crispy toast – a fusion of British comfort and Indian-inspired flavour that’s ready in minutes.

Perfect for lazy dinners, brunch with a twist, or spicing up your snack game. Once you try it, regular baked beans just won’t cut it anymore 😮‍💨

 

Ingredients

  • 1 tin of baked beans (I used Aldi’s one that cost me 45p per can)

  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric

  • 1/4 tsp ground coriander

  • Pinch of chilli powder & 1/2 tsp garlic granules

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 30g mozzarella

10 mins to prepare and cook | Serves 2


Method

  1. Empty the baked beans in a saucepan and add the spices and sugar, and place over a medium heat.

  2. Stir to combine and once the beans have warmed up, shred the mozzarella and continue stirring until it’s melted.

  3. Serve whilst warm on toast and enjoy!
