Tirokafteri Cheese Dip

Welcome to my Eat like a Greek series 🇬🇷✨ Today we’re making TIROKAFTERI, a homemade Greek feta dip that’s a must-try for any appetiser lover!

 

Ingredients

  • 1 sweet pointed red pepper

  • 200g feta

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • 2 tsp red wine vinegar

  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes

  • 1/2 oregano

  • Salt to taste

35 mins - 40 mins to preapare and cook | Serves 2


Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees fan. To prepare, de-seed and cube the red pepper.

  2. Add into an oven-safe dish with 1 tbsp oil and salt.

  3. Cook for 20-25 minutes, until the peppers have softened and become slightly charred.

  4. Place into a blender along with the rest of the ingredients and blitz until smooth.

  5. Leave to chill before serving. Enjoy with flat bread or pita!
