Pea Falafel

We’re making the easiest, tastiest pea falafel ever — crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside🫛🧆 It’s budget-friendly, super healthy, and easy peasy to whip up. If you love a fuss-free, feel-good meal, you're going to luuuurve this 😮‍💨👏🏻

 

Ingredients

  • 1 can of chickpeas, drained (240g) from Aldi

  • 1 can of peas, drained (175g) from Aldi

  • 2 tbsp tahini

  • 1/2 lemon, squeezed

  • Handful of chopped parsley & 2 grated garlic cloves

  • 2 heaped tsp plain flour

  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin

  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

  • 1/4 tsp chilli powder

  • Salt

30 mins to prepare and cook | Makes 10 falafels


Method

  1. In a bowl, add the drained peas and chickpeas along with the tahini and lemon juice. Mash to a fairly smooth consistency.

  2. Add the parsley, flour and seasonings to the bowl and mix to combine.

  3. Taking about a tablespoon of the mixture, roll to form a ball and set aside. Repeat with the rest of the mixture.

  4. Airfry at 180 degrees Celsius for 15-17 minutes until golden and crispy. Enjoy whilst warm.
