Frappé - Greek Iced Coffee
I want to share how to make the iconic Greek frappé, a cold coffee that originated in Thessaloniki in the 1950s. This refreshing, frothy drink has since become a beloved staple in Greece and Cyprus 😍 Perfect for hot days or as a midday pick-me-up!
Note: I personally like sugar in my frappé, but this is optional.
Ingredients
1 tsp of instant coffee
1 tbsp of water
1 tsp sugar
60ml milk (I recommend either semi skinned or soya)
Ice to serve
3 mins to make | Makes 1 frappe
Method
In a glass, add the instant coffee and water. Using a handheld milk frother, whisk for about 30 seconds until frothy.
Add the sugar and milk, and continue whisking for a minute or so until the consistency is thick and frothy.
Serve with ice.
