Chicken Souvlaki Skewers
Check out this super-easy and delicious chicken Souvlaki recipe! While these skewers are best cooked on a BBQ during warmer months, oven-cooked souvlaki is just as tasty. For the best flavour, be sure to marinate the chicken for at least two hours.
Ingredients
600g chicken breast, chopped into cubes
2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp dried sage
1/4 tsp paprika
Salt to taste
1/2 lemon, juiced
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup white wine
Marinate for at least 2 hours & 22-25 minutes to cook | Makes 8 skewers
Method
Marinate the chicken in all the seasonings you find listed above. Cover with cling film and refrigerate for at least two hours.
Using skewers, pierce about four pieces of chicken onto each one and repeat with the remaining chicken. Place on a baking tray with parchment paper and cook for 22-25 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius.
Serve with lemon juice, pitta and fresh cucumber, tomato and onion.
